PLAY

1.    Director

  • Ensure the quality and monitor the whole process of the play in the production.
  • Conducting the auditions process to choose the actors/actress.
  • Lead the team into realizing the main vision of the play.
  • Ensure the completeness of the whole play before the actual MNight.
  • Make decisions on the artistic vision of the play through interpretation of all aspects. i.e.: sound, lighting, props, etc.
  • Direct the actors according to the script and the storyline of the play.
  • Monitor the writing process of the script.

2.    Assistant Directors

  • Be a right hand for the director.
  • Monitor the progress of other departments, which are involved in the play.
  • Monitor the writing process of the script.
  • Help in decision making throughout the whole process including auditions, artistic vision, etc.

3.    Scriptwriters

  • Draft the script for the play.
  • Ensures the script is completed by the dateline.
  • Help to modify/change the script if needed.
  • Ensures the quality of the script. I.e. the language and make sure it is understandable.

4.     P.A. Director (Equipments and Materials)

  • Main team to lead the interpretation of the play through props.
  • Provide any props needed in the play.
  • Find any possible sources if there are props that can’t be provided.
  • Help the production in the MNight to arrange the props needed according to the scene.

5.    Costume & Make-up

  • Find sources for a costume/make-up supplier for the play including the performances.
  • Maintain contact with the sources to ensure everything is ready and available on the night.
  • Ensure that every costume/make-up used is returned to the supplier in a good condition.
  • Recruit people to apply make-up for all actors, actress, and performers.

6.    Actor/Actress

  • Memorise the script and attend every practice.
  • Ensure a high quality of the acting.

7.    Stage Manager

  • Coordinate all aspects in the play/performances to ensure the smoothness of the whole production.
  • Have good knowledge in both technical and artistic elements in the performance.
  • Lead the backstage crew in handling the whole movement.
  • Organizing the rehearsal process.
  • Record the timing for lighting, sound, and set changes.
  • Communicating with cast and crews.

8.    Lighting, Sound and Music

  • Provide the sound needed in any part of the performance.
  • Control the lighting and sound system during the whole program.
  • Make sure every effects needed are prepared and can be delivered perfectly.
  • Take note the timing for lighting and sound effect in the performance.
  • Take note of any changes done in last minute.

Choreographers

  • Lead the performance team.
  • Help to choreograph the movement in each dance.
  • Make sure the choice of dance is suitable with the theme of the night.
  • Ensure all members attend the practices and ensure that the performance is perfect.
  • Maintain contact with the costume and make-up departments for the necessary arrangements.

Sponsorship

  • Help the production team in finding enough funds for the MNight 2012.
  • To work hand-in-hand with Treasury department of MSA

Basic Requirements

  • Preferably with a few network connections with potential sponsors.
  • Able to communicate well with potential sponsors.
  • Committed to follow up on potential sponsorship deals.

Marketing & Publicity Team

  • Work hand-in-hand with Marketing Officer of MSA

1.    Posters & flyers

  • Dealing with the marketing strategies & publicity of MNight
  • Provide the production with the design of posters & flyers for MNight .
  • Produce the teaser/final posters and flyers to be given out to people.

Basic Requirements

  • Able to use Adobe Photoshop software
  • Creative

2.    Official trailer

  • Core team – promotion through great trailer to be posted in official MNight website, YouTube, fb, etc.
  • Planning and producing final trailer for MNight.

Basic Requirements

  • Have some prior experience in trailer/video-making.
  • Creative 

3.    Program booklet

  • Designing the official booklet for MNight.
  • Producing the final booklet for MNight.

Basic Requirements

  • Have some basic knowledge about the making of Programme Booklet.
  • Preferably have knowledge of how to use Adobe Photoshop software.
  • Creative

4.    Photographer

  • Involve in the documentation of the whole production of MNight. i.e.: before, during and after MNight.
  • Collaborate with other teams to provide video, pictures and etc to be used in promotion.

Basic Requirements

  • Preferably a strong interest in photography
  • Creative

5.    Promotion teams

  • Lead all the promotion process throughout the period before MNight.
  • Help to do shout outs in lectures, give out flyers etc. to attract more audience members.
