Warwick MSA had the opportunity to hold a discussion on the use of “Allah”, a topic which is currently followed closely by the media in Malaysia.
The speaker, Imran Mustafa Abdul Khudus, is a friend of an MSA member and a third year student at Imperial College. The discussion started off by sharing his perspective on the issue in a factual and historical context. Interesting points were brought up during the discussions which broaden the scope of the discussions, allowing more understanding and making the discussion enjoyable.
We would like to extend our appreciation to Imran and Akmal Amri and to members who attended the discussion.
Last Wednesday, Warwick MSA hosted a business game session with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) for members who are keen in finding out more about career in chartered accountancy. The session was designed to cover important issues employers are looking for such as commercial awareness, presentation skills, mathematical skills, team working and communication skills and highlight how chartered accountants act as business advisers and not just on ‘money matters’; it gives you a brief insight into becoming an ACA chartered accountant.
In this session, members participate in a game to plan business strategy and value risk, giving them an insight on what chartered accountants are expected to do. Have a look at the pictures :)
